my mother and i hand-made rose petal beads using hundreds (ten years’ worth) of decaying red roses that were too fragile to cross state lines
eighty hours spent hand weaving, unweaving, and beading in an attempt to translate the temporal disintegration of a silver gelatin photograph to a textile
